My Favorite Fashion Blogs
There are countless amazing fashion blogs floating around on the web, but there are five bloggers I continually use as a source of inspiration.
Garance Dore and The Sartorialist
Even though they are two separate blogs, Garance Dore and Scot Schuman are the prom king and queen of street-fashion photography. Scott Schuman's The Sartorialist paved the way for all fashion bloggers. I love that he shoots regular people on the streets, not just celebrities, models and well-known fashionistas. He had me hooked since the inception of his blog. Plus, one of my biggest dreams is for Scott to shoot me while walking down the streets of NY (ha!).
Then there is his current girlfriend and one of my girl crushes, Garance Dore. I adore her to pieces because of her candid writing style. She comes off as the girl who can easily be your best friend - charming, sweet and knows a thing or two about fashion. Her Pardon My French series is just perfect as it showcases her affable personality. If I were to be any blogger for a day, I'd want to be Garance. Garance, if you ever get the chance to read this, let's meet for tea!
Sea of Shoes
A fellow Texan from the DFW area, Jane from Sea of Shoes of is one of my favorite bloggers because of her unique mix of vintage and designer clothing. She is a fearless fashionista that has an enviable shoe collection. Her eye for fashion has earned her collaborations with Urban Outfitters and Reed Krakoff. Hats off to Jane for her incredible success.
Jak and Jil
Tommy Ton of Jak and Jil is currently Style.com's street-fashion photographer. I love how he zooms his camera in on the details and accessories that make outfits stand-out. All his subjects are on the cutting edge of fashion as they are typically editors, models off-duty and seasoned it-girls. Whenever I peruse through his blog, I always feel inspired to update my wardrobe with distiguishing pieces.
Style by Kling
Recipient of "Sexiest Cyber Star" by Victoria's Secret, Elin Kling is a Swedish native with a laid-back style I identify most with. Her minimalist style is chic and sexy but never over the top - very appropriate for big city life. Style by Kling is part of superblog NowManifest, which hosts blogs from Anna Della Russo, Rumi Neely and Bryan Boy.
